Twinberry (known as Black Twinberry or Lonicera involucrata in the survival guide) are poisonous berries, material and food items. They were added in update v0.01 and made collectable in update v0.12 in The Forest. As of update v0.72, they operate exactly the same as snowberries.
Gameplay[]
Twinberries appear as a two-round dark berries surrounded by a reddish orange star shaped flower and can be found on twinberries bushes. They are poisonous and will damage the players health when consumed, they do not provide any hydration and they cannot be placed in stews. On normal and peaceful mode, this damage is only 2 health points. Though on hard mode and especially hard survival mode, this damage can be lethal. Twinberry bushes look different to snowberry and blueberry bushes, the leaves are dark red, and the berries are much darker. The type of berries are randomly assigned and every game has a different type of berry attached. They can will often change berry types when the player saves and exits. Harvesting twinberries bushes does not provide any seeds and you can only obtain 3 berries from each bush. With a pouch, you can collect twinberries from twinberry bushes, but you can only carry 30 twinberries at a time.

Do not consume twinberries or snowberries when playing hard survival mode. They will damage the player 30 health points per berry consumed. At 100 health, 4 berries will kill the player.
