The Practical Caver magazine is a story item found in Cave 2, in a little hollow behind a wooden wall. Upon discovery, the player will examine it, and it will be added to the notes section of the survival guide. It is a magazine that appears to discuss the pros and cons and the ins and outs of caving. It is assumed that this is one of the items from the Cavers who leave abandoned campsites in the caves often. The Practical Caver magazine suggests that people come to the Peninsula to have fun and enjoy various outdoor recreation activities, but the presence of this magazine in a room with a decaying corpse suggests that none of the cavers are having a good time.
Theory[]
Connection to the Yacht: The Practical Caver magazine is found in the same room as a decayed corpse (a la the Yacht corpse) and a few scattered pictures of the Yacht. This suggests that the Yacht inhabitants knew something about caving, or perhaps were attempting to learn on the go, in order to possibly find the resurrection obelisk. However, the magazine found in the yacht is from 1984, whereas the caving magazine is from 1932--a rather large time discrepancy.
