Snacks are a source of food that restores hunger, energy, health and stamina, they added to the game in update v0.01 of The Forest.
Gameplay[]
As one of the few types of food that can be consumed directly from the inventory, snacks can be vital to the adventuring player's survival. While they restore less energy and provide less fullness than food like meat, they need no time to be cooked with no fire or drying rack necessary. However, as they are more limited in availability, it is generally more practical to eat cooked or dried meat while the player is staying in the same area, and eat snacks when going out on long treks far from their main camp.
Locations[]
They are often found in suitcases, which is easily accessible right at the start of the game, or scattered across cannibal villages, the caves or camping sites.
Storage[]

Trivia[]
- The fictional brands of these snacks are "Future Bar", "Chocc Barrrr", and "Almonds".
- Snacks used to have many negative effects on gaining strength as well as putting on weight for the player. This system has been removed since v0.71 which has made it much more viable to consume.
