Pale Cannibals, also known as Grey Cannibals or Cave Cannibals, are large cannibals with dark blue/grey skin, with completely white eyes, no body hair of any kind, no clothing or adornments. They were included in the initial v0.01 release of The Forest.

Gameplay[]

Pale cannibals will often be found in caves from the beginning of the game. Pale cannibals stand tall, and move in a very human-like manner. They, alongside skinny pale cannibals, are the only kind of mutants found in the caves. Pale cannibal have the same complexion as skinny pale cannibals and are slightly larger than them.

They often travel with a single cannibal or in groups of up to 5 members. The pale cannibals are slightly larger than Regular Cannibals, with a more human appearance and stature, and sometimes patrol villages. They all appear as male, their screams and pain laments less than human.

The only inhabitants of caves, it's unknown whether they are those who hanged the passengers to the caves' ceilings, and created light sources and furniture in caves, due to their animalistic nature. They often sleep attached to the caves' ceilings, almost like bats, and carry weapons, sticks or clubs are the only current weapon they use.

On day 5, they will begin spawning on the surface, regularly traveling together with skinny pale cannibals. After day 22, they will begin to be replaced by masked cannibals.

Due to the fact that they are widespread and hostile in caves, once they start appearing on the surface, they are likely to be hostile towards the player from the start unlike the Regular, Painted and Masked Cannibals, who will start neutral towards the player.
