Old gun ammo is the ammunition used for the Flintlock Pistol, it was added alongside it in update v0.49 of The Forest.

Gameplay

It can be found around the Peninsula and in the caves. Most of the time, there is some ammo in caches when you blow them up to access the gun parts. When picked up, you will receive 1-5 ammo. You can carry an unlimited amount of old gun ammo. The ammo re-spawns every time the player re-enters a cave.

Locations

Old gun ammo can be found with each piece of the flintlock pistol at the caches. They can also be found in caves at these locations:
- x2 at the Modern Bow location
- Cave 8
- x1 between cave 3 and cave 9
- x1 near Siblings Missing Newspaper, near chainsaw
- cave 5 where the rusty axe is

Notes

• Once you have stacked 10,000 old gun ammo you will still be able to pick the item up however the stack number will not increase in your inventory.
• Potential duplication glitch: Have 31, then put five stacks into the metal tray then clearing the crafting mat. Needs testing.

Confirmed:: Once you have 30 ammo in your inventory put the tray in the center and spam the stack of 30 ammo count will increase by 30.
