There are no living humans in the game at the time and it is unlikely that there will be except for the possibility of saving Timmy. The bodies of Passengers and the crew can be found scattered around the Peninsula either on the ground or hanging from ropes in caves and cannibal villages
Many other people's corpses can be found, such as divers, miners, missionaries, film crew members, faded-skeletal corpses in locations such as the yacht, in addition to hanging scientists in the research lab. This suggests, even from the magazines, that the Peninsula may be or have been an interesting point for surviving/exploring experiences.
The large number of effigies cannibals daily make may suggest there is a constant human activity on the peninsula.
