The Freestanding Zipline is a structure that was added in v0.63. It has 2 gates, place either one high up and the other below and at distance, it will procedurally create a rope in between.
Gameplay
- Ziplines are the fastest way to travel in the game.
- Pressing 'E' or 'Space' will let go of the zipline.
- Letting go of the zipline and falling into water is safe, falling onto land is not so safe.
- The first placement is the starting point of the zipline. You cannot grab the zipline at the end, only the start where you first placed it.
- It is unknown if enemies will attack ziplines as of yet. (Confirmation needed).
- Mods can make the zipline an unlimited length, it is unknown how long the zipline can be without mods. (Confirmation needed).
- Can be used to get to the bottom of the sinkhole by running it directly across the middle of it. Let go after 6 seconds to land in the water at the center of the water in the sinkhole.
Construction
10x logs and * rope = Freestanding Zipline
Rope amount is dependent on its length.
