The deer skin decoration is a decorative building which was added in update v0.15 of The Forest.
Gameplay[]
The player can access from the decorations tab of the survival guide. The player can place the deer skin decoration on surfaces such as a bed or a wall. It appears exactly the same as if the deer skin was on the ground, though this permanently attaches it. The player cannot recover the deer skin once it has been placed. It player can use the hole cutter to remove it, though be careful not to clear other buildings in the process.

If the deer skin decoration isn't suitable, the player can build the rabbit fur decoration instead. Keep in mind that the rabbit fur variation is much smaller. So they player maybe require to use more rabbit fur to complete the job:
