Cowmen are a type of distorted mutant added in patch v0.20.

This kind of creature can be found inside the cave systems, usually in pairs.

Unlike other distorted mutants such as Virginias or Armsys, cowmen don't seem to be formed by the bodies of multiple cannibals but they are also higher and stronger than normal cannibals. Another thing that makes this cannibal different to the other distorted mutants is that they have facial features. Their eyes, nose and mouth are covered by skin.

Cowmen resemble very overweight mutants with small arms, very large legs, nipples and no genitalia.

It mostly attacks by charging at the player, changing direction as it charges in an attempt to hit players if they try to move out of the way. It can also been seen jumping into the air, stomping ground and performing a bodyslam. A Cowman's charge can also hit other cannibals, and is able to kill an Armsy in one shot.
